hr got back to me about paraprofessional positions so it's looking like i'm gonna be having some interviews in the denton area for that. if this is the move, i'll head down to houston for a little bit to recuperate and then skedaddle back on up here to do that job for the rest of the semester at least. i'm excited by the number of pre-k aide positions on the list :O!

Why?

a lot of reasons but the big one is that it was making me miserable and lowkey depressed. like, seeing a doctor and getting prescribed medication depressed. so not a great situation for me OR for the kids. better for everybody to kinda switch it up

When?

very recently. it all happened very quickly. i first thought about it seriously on thursday, february 5. told hr and admin my decision that weekend, and my final day was friday, february 13 (spooky!)

Are you staying in education?

maybe! but i'm not gonna be a classroom teacher for a while, and if i ever do go back in that capacity i think i will go for a different age range.

great question. THE question, tbh. hr is supposed to get back to me about paraprofessional opportunities in the district so i can stay in district and denton for the rest of the semester. so maybe i'll be helping in a preschool classroom or in a front office somewhere. otherwise, i plan to return to houston for the foreseeable future.
